Twenty-one straight — and the playoff run is off to a roaring start.

The Golden Flashes opened the Suffolk County Division IV playoffs on Friday night, November 6, with a 75–34 win over Kings Park at Sayville High School, running their winning streak to twenty-one straight games and moving to 9–0. Sayville led 48–7 at halftime and never looked back.

It is a run built week by week: 50–12 over these same Kings Park Kingsmen on October 23, a 34–0 shutout at John Glenn on October 31 to finish a perfect regular season, and now a 75-point night to open the playoffs. Sayville has now scored 407 points against just 67 allowed all season.

The win sends the No. 1-seeded Golden Flashes into a Division IV semifinal; the opponent and date had not yet been announced as of Saturday morning.
