Alumni weekend in Sayville — for those living in town or back for a visit. It’s Halloween weekend, so there’s plenty for families and grandkids, too:

🚒 Friday 6–9 PM — SFD Fire Prevention Night Open House, Sayville Fire Department Headquarters, 107 N Main St. Tour the house, meet our firefighters, and learn a little fire prevention while you’re at it. (Full details on the flyer above.)

👻 Friday 7–10 PM — Sayville Haunted Walk, 48 Smith St. A haunted walk-through with live scare actors, fog, and animatronics — rated “spooky,” and collecting for charity. It runs again Saturday night, same hours.

🎭 Friday 7:30 PM — Whose Live Anyway? at Patchogue Theatre, 71 E Main St, Patchogue.

🎃 Saturday 11 AM and Sunday 11 AM — Spookley the Square Pumpkin: The Musical (rated G, about 85 minutes) at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre, CM Performing Arts Center, 931 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale — the show’s final weekend.

🎃 Saturday 11:30 AM–12:30 PM — Bellport Halloween Parade, Bellport Village. The parade starts at the Bellport Fire House (161 Main St) and finishes at the green across from the Community Center on Bell Street, with safe trick-or-treating at downtown merchants afterward. Free. A short drive east for alumni in town.

🏈 Saturday 1:30 PM — Golden Flashes (7-0) at John Glenn (4-3). Sayville goes for its 20th straight win after beating Kings Park 50-12 last Friday.

👻 Saturday 7–10 PM — Sayville Haunted Walk, 48 Smith St (second night; see Friday).

🕰 Sunday — clocks go back. Daylight saving time ends at 2 AM Sunday, so enjoy the extra hour.

🏐 Looking ahead — Monday 6:30 PM: our #2 Sayville girls volleyball team plays #1 Islip for the Suffolk County Class A Championship at Suffolk County Community College, Brentwood Campus. The girls beat Westhampton Beach in Wednesday’s semifinal to get there. Alumni, let’s get a purple-and-gold crowd to Brentwood — GO SAYVILLE! (Thanks to Lori Ann Rey for the report.)
