The Sayville Sissies Do It Again: Three Class of ’72 Friends Keep Their Annual Tradition Alive

Some friendships don’t just last — they thrive.

More than five decades after graduating from Sayville High School with the Class of 1972, Evie (Hausske) Fuson, Gail (Heinsohn) McNutt, and Diane Miller-Magnani are still getting together year after year, time after time — and their latest “mini vacay” looks like it was one for the books.

“Enjoyed a mini vacay with my Sayville Sissies,” Evie wrote. “So glad we can all still enjoy this annual tradition!”

From porch selfies to mahjong showdowns to kicking back with a glass of wine, these three prove that the bonds forged at Sayville High only grow stronger with time. Year after year, they show up for each other — and the joy in these photos says it all.

Here’s to the Sayville Sissies, and to friendships that never graduate.

Do you have a group of Sayville friends you still get together with? We’d love to celebrate them — send your photos and stories our way!
