We are saddened to share that Jason Lowry (Class of 2003) has informed us of the loss of his beloved mother, Susan Ann (Hait) Lowry, who was a member of the Class of 1973.

Susan passed on Thanksgiving Day in Galax, Virginia, surrounded by her loved ones, after a long and brave fight against cancer.

The Lowry family has endured profound and heartbreaking losses over the years, marked by immense sorrow, but also resilience, love, and a deep sense of connection to Sayville. May the family find comfort in shared love and support.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to the Lowry and Hait families, friends, and classmates. We will honor Susan’s memory annually on her birthday, April 18th. It is our wish that by commemorating Susan on her birthday, we can provide solace to those who loved and cherished her.
