The passing of Stephanie A. (Kaikaka) Collichio, Class of 2000.
The Sayville Alumni Association stands with our greater community in sharing the profound grief following the sudden and untimely passing of Stephanie A. (Kaikaka) Collichio, a beloved member of the Class of 2000.
A lifelong resident of West Sayville, Stephanie’s educational journey began in our Sayville Schools hallways and continued with dedication at Dowling College in Oakdale. It was a path that reflected her commitment to growth and remained a source of quiet pride for all who knew her.
Our deepest condolences are extended to her husband, Justin; her parents, Michael and Gay Kaikaka; and her entire loving family, including her siblings, nephews, and niece, who have lost a cornerstone of their lives.
Our hearts also go out to her wide circle of friends and her fellow classmates of 2000, as they navigate this painful loss of a vibrant peer, who was taken far too soon.
In honoring Stephanie’s memory, we encourage those who knew her to view the moving tribute on the Raynor & D’Andrea website, which so vividly captures her radiant joy, warmth, and unmistakable love for life.
Our community’s heartfelt thoughts are with all who celebrate her life and cherish the memories, May they find some level of strength in the shared remembrance.
Stephanie will be deeply missed by her extended Sayville family. A memorial page has been created in Stephanie ’s honor, and the Sayville Alumni Association will remember her annually on her birthday, August 22nd. We trust this remembrance will provide solace to those who knew and loved Stephanie.
We are grateful to our Historians Committee member, Erick Baumeister of California, for his thoughtful dedication in ensuring our alumni network was informed, allowing us now to collectively mourn and offer support.
