The passing of Patricia Lynn Di Brico

We are saddened today to learn of the passing of Patricia Lynn Di Brico, March 3, 1973 ~ January 26, 2026, at the young age of only 52.
Patty served as an in-service music teacher in our Sayville elementary schools, where her passion for music sparked creativity and joy in her students. She understood the profound role music plays in developing young minds—fostering cognitive growth, emotional expression, and a sense of community. In her classroom, the foundations of rhythm and melody became tools for building confidence, discipline, and wonder.
She nurtured countless young musicians, instilling not just skill, but a lifelong love for the arts that will be a part of her enduring legacy. Her belief in the transformative power of music resonated in every lesson, chorus, and performance, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her students and the cultural spirit of our schools.
Patty’s light will be deeply missed, but the music she shared will continue to inspire.
