It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michele Rose Fiorillo, 72, of Freeville, NY, on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. A devoted mother, cherished sister, beloved grandmother, and inspiring educator, Michele’s vibrant spirit and boundless love touched countless lives.

Born on October 15, 1952, Michele grew up with a passion for learning and a heart full of kindness.

A proud Sayville High School graduate (Class of 1970), she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Dowling College, where she nurtured her calling to shape young minds.

For 30 remarkable years, Michele dedicated herself to her students at Millard Fillmore Elementary School in Moravia, NY, leaving an enduring legacy of patience, encouragement, and joy in the classroom.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Shannon (Pearsall) Parkinson-Teaghlach, and her husband, Dan. Her two grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Toniann Fiorillo, and her nephew, Thomas, who held a special place in her heart.

Michele was reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Thomas and Dorothea Fiorillo, and her brother, Joseph Fiorillo, whose memories she carried with love every day.

Michele’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the family she adored, and the countless hearts she uplifted with her generosity and grace.

“A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge that grow forever.”
Rest peacefully, my sister…  You are forever loved.
