We are saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Anthony Tesoro, Class of 1977, and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. During this challenging time, our hearts go out to his family, friends, classmates, and teachers.

Michael Anthony Tesoro

Michael Anthony Tesoro, born on June 13, 1959, and peacefully passed away on March 21, 2025. He leaves behind ample memories and a legacy surrounded by love and laughter. A proud U.S. Marine, Michael dedicated his life to service and exemplified the values of courage and commitment.

In his personal life, Michael was known for his warm and funny personality, which brightened the days of all who knew him. He was a loving husband to Lisa Howard Tesoro, whose companionship brought him great joy throughout the years. As a devoted father, he cherished moments spent with his daughter Samantha, nurturing her with love and wisdom.

Michael was also a caring grandfather to his grandson, Anthony. The bond they shared brought him immeasurable happiness, marking special times filled with laughter and affection.

He is survived by his beloved mother Betty Tesoro Skinner, his wife Lisa, his daughter Samantha, and grandson Anthony. His siblings, Christine Tesoro Curtis, Theresa Mary Feeley, Michele Tesoro, Bette L. Gordon, and Joyce (Jaye) Tesoro, will also carry his memory in their hearts.

A Memorial Service to honor Michael’s life will be held at Deer Park – Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. The first service will take place on March 27, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding at 4:30 PM. Following this, an additional service will be held later that same day from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.

The cherished memories of Michael Anthony Tesoro will live on, inspiring those who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will be a guiding light for his family and friends.

To honor Michael’s memory, a dedicated memorial page has been created, and the Sayville Alumni Association will lovingly remember him each year on his birthday, June 13th. We hope that this tribute brings comfort to those who knew and loved Michael, keeping his spirit alive in our hearts.
