We are saddened today to learn of the passing of John Charles Boehm, Class of 1958. During this very challenging time, our hearts go out to his family, friends, and classmates.

Mr. John Charles Boehm, 84, of Alpharetta, passed August 19, 2025. Mr. Boehm was born in New York to his parents, Joseph and Henrietta Boehm. John was an active member of St. Brendan’s The Navigator Catholic Church, where he worked diligently as a volunteer on various events over the years including running the kitchen at the Fish Fry and as a member of the Tinkers. John was a 4th Degree member of The Knights of Columbus and called Bingo at the Cumming Nursing home for several years. He was a member of the Optimist club of Newburgh. He was an avid model train enthusiast as well as a master carpenter. Mr. Boehm was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Henrietta Boehm, and five siblings. Survivors include his loving wife, Vina Boehm, children, Janine Boehm Sitzmann (Noel), Bradford Boehm, grandchildren, Adam Sitzmann and Evan Sitzmann |
A memorial page has been created in John‘s honor, and the Sayville Alumni Association will remember John annually on his birthday, December 15th. We hope this remembrance will provide solace to those who knew and loved him.
