We are saddened to learn of the passing of Harlan Matthew “Matt” Hantman, Class of 1985 back on June 18, 2024.  Thank you to the class of 1985 SAA liaison Maureen (Herlihy) Casaburi, for confirming and advising us of Matt’s passing.

Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends, classmates, and teachers during this difficult time.

Below is an obituary published by the Marietta Times, P.O. Box 761, Parkersburg, WV 26102-0761 on June 25, 2024;

H. Matthew Hantman, 56, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away June 18, 2024, at Camden Clark Medical Center. A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.

A memorial page has been created in Matt’s honor and the Sayville Alumni Association will remember him annually on his birthday, November 10th. We hope these remembrances will provide solace to those who knew and loved him.
