We are saddened today to learn of the passing of Hans John Vollert, Class of 1955. During this very challenging time, our hearts go out to his family, friends, and classmates.

Hans John Vollert, 88, of Lake Wynonah, passed away Tuesday, August 19th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Hans was born in New Rochelle, NY on June 26, 1937.
He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Jacqualine Lechner in 2015. He is also preceded in death by three sons: George Hall, Ricky Hall, & Daniel Lechner, his grandson, Georgie Hall, and his daughter-in-law, Janet Hall.
He owned and operated a private limo service while living in New York.
Hans is survived by two sons: Gary Hall, husband of Annie, Kurt Lechner, husband of Debbie & daughter-in-law Erica, his grandchildren: Jacqualyn, Christopher, Karen, Marissa, Michelle, Jessica, & Kyle, and his great-grandchildren: Meghan, Mason, Ayva, McKenna, Elijah, Keenan, Amelia, Logan, Caleb, & Sydney.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

A memorial page has been created in Hans’s honor, and the Sayville Alumni Association will remember Hans annually on his birthday, June 26th. We hope this remembrance will provide solace to those who knew and loved him.
