The passing of Fotini “Fay” (Nikolopoulos) Michaelides, Class of 1990.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the untimely passing of Fotini “Fay” (Nikolopoulos) Michaelides, a cherished member of the Class of 1990, who left us at just 52.
Tonight, there will be a visitation for family and friends at Robertaccio Funeral Home, located at 495 Main Street, Center Moriches, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
A Funeral Mass will take place tomorrow, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11 AM at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons, situated at 111 St Andrews Road, Southampton, NY 11968. Following the service, interment will occur at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 41 Main Street, Center Moriches.
We thank Michael C. Murphy (Class of ’86) for informing us of this sad news. Michael shared that Fay’s family once owned the Sayville Town House Diner on Sunrise Highway, which has now become the Moriches Bay Diner, still run by the Nikolopoulos family, including Fay and Kay’s brother Spiro.
Fay was also the proud owner of the beloved “Eastport’s Little Secret Gift Shop.”
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Fay’s family, friends, and classmates. The Sayville Alumni Association will honor Fay each year on her birthday, hoping that these memories will provide solace to all who knew and loved her.
