We are saddened to learn of the passing of Collette (Malone) Gneuhs, a cherished member of the Class of 1969. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, classmates, and former teachers during this difficult time.
To honor Collette’s memory, a dedicated memorial page has been created, and the Sayville Alumni Association will lovingly remember her each year on her birthday, October 25. We hope that this tribute brings comfort to those who knew and loved her, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts.

Collette (Malone) Gneuhs

Collette Gneuhs, of Greentown, died Wednesday at Allied Services Hospice. Her husband is Bruce Gneuhs.
Born in Bayshore, Long Island, daughter of the late James and Claire Daly Malone, she was a member of St. Thomas Moore Church where she was a member of the altar and rosary society. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot.
Collette enjoyed hiking, kayaking, especially spending time outdoors.
She was a loving and caring wife, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters Eilleen Gebhardt and husband Bruce; Catherine King and husband James; one brother James Malone and wife Jen; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, January 28 at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas Moore Church Lake Ariel, with interment at St. Catherine’s Cemetery. Anyone attending the church was asked to proceed directly to the church on Tuesday.
Friends called Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home Inc., 201 Rt 191, Village of LaAnna, S. Sterling.
