Elisa Ruoff (Class of 1998) has shared the heartbreaking news of her dear brother Brian Gunzl’s (Class of 1999) passing on August 1, 2021, in Tonawanda, Erie County, New York, at the young age of just 40.

Yesterday, June 24th, marked his birthday. Our deepest condolences to Brian’s family, friends, and classmates.

We are grateful to Elisa for informing us about Brian’s untimely passing. Losing a sibling, especially at a young age, is a devastating experience, and we offer our sincerest sympathies during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Sayville Alumni Association will honor Brian’s memory annually on his birthday. We hope this gesture will provide solace to those who cherished him.
