Perhaps some of you have watched Netflix’s miniseries, “The Queen’s Gambit”, which is credited with spurring a resurgence of public interest in the game of Chess.

Jumping back in time 82 years, we see the members of Sayville High School’s champion chess team anxiously watching over a game between two members of their group.
