Recently, we’ve seen deeply disparaging comments directed at deceased alumni. Regardless of the intent or perceived validity of such remarks, this is not the forum for attacking the memories of those who have passed.
The Sayville Alumni Association exists to celebrate our shared history, reconnect with classmates, and foster goodwill—not to host harmful debates about individuals no longer here to speak for themselves.
To ensure this remains a respectful space, we’re reemphasizing our group rules, particularly regarding kindness toward the deceased and civil discourse. Violations will be removed, and repeat offenders may face removal.
If you have grievances or critiques better suited to private discussion, please take them elsewhere. Here, we honor the legacy of all Sayville Alumni.
Thank you for helping us uphold the spirit of this community.
