Rallying Around One of Our Own: Sebastian Berlingieri, Class of 2021

The Sayville Alumni Association community is coming together in support of one of our young alumni, Sebastian Berlingieri, Class of 2021, who was seriously injured in an accident in Vermont last week. He remains hospitalized and has already undergone multiple surgeries. His injuries are significant, including internal organ trauma and multiple fractures. While he continues to fight through a long and difficult recovery, those who know Sebastian understand his strength, resilience, and determination—qualities that will serve him well in the days ahead.

In moments like this, we are reminded of what makes Sayville so special. Whether you graduated decades ago or just a few years back, there is a shared bond that runs deep in this community. When one of our own is hurting, we come together—quietly, steadily, and with purpose. Sebastian and his family are now facing not only the emotional toll of this accident, but also the growing burden of medical expenses and recovery-related costs. A GoFundMe page has been established to help support him during this challenging time. If you are able, please consider offering your support:

Every contribution—no matter the size—is a meaningful gesture of encouragement. And just as important are your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support for Sebastian and his family. From the shores of the Great South Bay to wherever life has taken our alumni, this is what we do—we show up for each other. Sebastian, your Sayville family is behind you every step of the way. Stay strong—we are all rooting for your recovery.
