A shadow of profound grief has fallen over our community with the tragic, senseless murder of one of our own, 18-year-old Emily Finn.

For her family, friends, and classmates, this horrific reality is a burden of pain beyond comprehension. The shockwaves of this loss have reverberated through the very fabric of our town, touching teachers, school staff, and alumni across the globe. The sorrow is felt even by those who never had the joy of knowing Emily, a testament to the light that was so cruelly extinguished.

Today, our community comes together to begin the difficult process of mourning. A visitation to honor Emily’s memory and support one another will be held at Raynor and D’Andrea Funeral Home.

As we collectively struggle to make sense of the insensible, our hearts are with all who gather. We pray they find a sliver of solace in their shared love and memories.

In this time of immense darkness, we hold Emily’s light in our hearts and extend our deepest compassion to all whose hearts are broken by this devastating tragedy—near and far, whether you held her close or are simply heartbroken by the loss.
