Flag Day!

Flag Day in the United States is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the American flag on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The flag, as described in the Flag Resolution, consists of thirteen stripes alternating between red and white, representing the original thirteen colonies, and a blue field with thirteen white stars, symbolizing a new constellation1. Although it’s not an official federal holiday, Flag Day holds significance as a patriotic observance.
