Forty years. Let that sink in.

The Sayville High School Class of 1986 celebrated its 40th reunion at The View in Oakdale on Saturday, September 19, 2026 — an evening of laughter, dancing, and remembering the classmates who are gone. The weekend kicked off Friday evening with an icebreaker at the Sayville Falls Beer Garden.

The memorabilia table told the story before anyone said a word: a yellow Class of ’86 sweatshirt, framed class photos, gold tinsel, balloon columns, and name tags carrying senior-year photos. Organizer Leigh-Ann Carney captured it all in a video walkthrough.

The evening included a moving In Memoriam video slideshow tribute to classmates no longer with us.

The raffle table brought its own excitement: John Huisman won the early-registration basket of cheer, and Elizabeth Barnes Wootten took home the 50/50 prize.

Pulling the weekend together was the reunion committee — Bill Sukow, Kristen Tomich, Phil Rinaldi, Jen-Marie Kelly, and Andrea Polselli Meserve — with setup help from Amy Walshin Berk and Vinny Restivo.
