Here at the Sayville Alumni Association, our community is our strength. We share triumphs, memories, and, when the time comes, we come together to honor and remember the lives of fellow alumni who have passed.

Recently, we’ve faced a challenge. When I was away, reporting of news was delayed. This highlighted a vital need: our association needs a backup team! This is where you come in.

We’re looking for a few passionate volunteers to join our Website Support Team.

It doesn’t matter where you live! If you have an internet connection and a little bit of time, you can make a huge difference.

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It!):
When news comes in, you would help create a respectful tribute post on our WordPress website (using the simple Elementor editor), add obituary details, select a relevant graphic such as the senior photo from our cloud drive, publish and then share the link on our Facebook page.

This is a perfect opportunity for:

A Fellow Alumni: Give back to the Sayville community and ensure our classmates are remembered promptly and with honor.

A Sayville High School Student: Looking to build your resume with real-world experience in web publishing, social media, and content management? We’ll provide a great reference!

Anyone: Who wants to help and can learn a few simple online tasks.

You wouldn’t be doing it alone. We’ll provide full training and support. This is about being part of a small, reliable team where every member is crucial.

A core principle of any strong organization is having a backup plan. Let’s build that safety net together.

Please reach out to us at halgbrown@sayvillealumni.org to learn more. Let’s chat—no commitment required! Thank you for your continued support and for considering this important role.
