Hello, Sayville Alumni,

Mr. Paul Gerbino was a dedicated educator at Sayville High School.  Remarkably, he has never lost his connection with students. Many of you have enjoyed his frequent comments, historical insights, and personal remembrances right here on our page. He has kept our collective memory alive, bridging generations of Sayville Alumni.

Now, we want to turn the spotlight around. We are creating a special tribute profile page to honor Mr. Gerbino, and we need your help to tell the full story of his incredible impact.

In his classroom, Mr. Gerbino was more than an instructor; he was a guide. Whether he was demystifying complex scenarios, bringing history to life, or simply offering a word of encouragement, he had a unique gift for connecting with students. He saw potential in every student and challenged them to see it in themselves.

Mr. Gerbino’s voice was often the soundtrack of Sayville athletics. From the broadcast booth, he didn’t just call the plays; he narrated our community’s shared experiences. His enthusiastic “Touchdown, Sayville!” and his fair, knowledgeable commentary made every game feel important. He celebrated our victories and honored our efforts, making him an integral part of the team long after the final whistle.
