It is with heavy hearts that the Sayville Alumni Association announces the passing of Mr. Richard Koch Sr., a cherished member of our alumni community.  Mr. Koch maintained communication with many of his students right up until the time of his passing.

Mr. Koch passed away peacefully following complications from a stroke suffered in late 2025. He was a man of great character, and his legacy remains an inspiration to all who knew him.

At this time, there are no memorial services planned. We ask that you keep the Koch family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Mr. Koch. You will be deeply missed.
