Glenn Pearson, Class of 1969 was co-editor-in chief 1967-1968 and editor-in-chief 1968-1969. Glenn stated;
“We had a great team of editors and writers. That was in the old days when Suffolk County News did the old Linotype lead prep for the text.
In my first year as editor, we shifted from that nice glossy paper stock to newsprint stock that turns yellow in about four days . I guess it was a budget issue!
I got ‘in trouble’ with them on the very first issue when I was editor because we misjudged spacing and sent about 50% too many stories. They had typeset all that and then had to melt it all down.”
