Adele L. (L’Ecluse) Slade, Class of 1933
7 Mar 1915 – Dec 1973

Adele was the owner and operator of the Alvin Hotel (rooming house) at 103 Gillette Avenue in Sayville.  Adele’s son, Roger Arthur Slade was a graduate of the class of 1961. Roger married Amira Carbonell, SHS Class of 1963.

A very special thank you to Mr. Erick Baumeister of Auburn, California who researched and found Adele for us! Erick’s grandfather Fred Baumeister was class of ’36 and his grandmother Virginia M. Campbell was class of ’40.  Erick’s gracious research assistance now and also in the past, is so greatly appreciated!   Thank you, Erick!
