DEATH 19 May 2001 (aged 82)
Al was the son of Alfred Constant and Marjorie Converse of Oakdale, Long Island, NY.
He successfully bailed out of a Consolidated B-24 Liberator American heavy bomber #42-7119, which crashed on a nighttime training mission due to mechanical failure over Weed, CA on 10 Jun 1943. He was later promoted to 1st LT.
Although born and raised in Oakdale and apparently lived there until entering the service, we can’t find any record of him attending Sayville schools. But, it seems he must have…
