To draw attention to the accomplishments of this amazing lady, we originally posted this as a “History Mystery”, as follows;

 

Sayville History Mystery;
Can you name the Sayville High School Alumna who was a nationally known nursing editor, writer, speaker, and seminar leader for numerous nursing and health-related organizations?

Among her other extraordinary accomplishments, this amazing lady was;

*Born in Sayville
*A Senior editor for RN magazine
*Director of nursing at Vermont State Hospital in Waterbury Vt.
*Director of nursing and nursing education at Boston State Hospital
*Served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War Two
*Published numerous articles in professional nursing journals
*Authored one novel and several textbooks

 

Ms. Renee Tapasak, Class of 1973 was the first to answer correctly.

Renee had a very special connection to Alice M. Robinson;  Renee used to work for Alice at her home!  Renee’s mother, Rita (Carolin) Tapasak, Class of 1941 was also friends with Alice’s cousin Lillian.
