Classmates prepare a heartfelt photograph as a gesture of gratitude for his unwavering support! We are talking about Dan Meier, Class of 1960!
Which remarkable group of Sayville High School alumni annually awards an annual “Spirit and Friendship”scholarship to a graduating senior?
It is of course, the combined classes of 1959, 1960, and 1961!
They are now organizing a cruise to Bermuda for their next reunion—a highly anticipated and extraordinary event.
While many class reunions extend invitations to various graduating years, the collaboration between the classes of 1959, 1960, and 1961 is unique. These alumni have united their efforts, creating a shared tradition of reunion events that is rarely seen among other graduating classes.
Behind this successful collaboration is a dedicated team of individuals, with Dan Meier playing a pivotal role. Dan has worked tirelessly to foster communication and unity among the alumni while promoting and coordinating reunion activities. His contributions have been essential to the ongoing success of these gatherings.
Although Dan was unable to attend the 60th reunion, his presence was felt in spirit. To honor his dedication, his classmates prepared a humorous yet heartfelt photograph as a gesture of gratitude for his unwavering support.
Special thanks are extended to John Lund for sharing this memorable photograph!
Congratulations to the alumni of the classes of 1959, 1960, and 1961, with particular recognition for the invaluable contributions of Dan Meier!
