We recently had the pleasure of communicating with James Cashman who kindly donated a few items of Sayville High memorabilia to the alumni association. James grew up on Foster and Poplar. His family moved prior to high school graduation, so he ended up graduating from William Floyd HS.

A few days ago, James wrote; “I was on the alumni webpage and noticed that Fay (Nikolopoulos) Michaelides went to Sayville HS. I just learned of her passing and it has saddened me greatly. The Fay that I knew was one of the kindest people and one of the very few that I never heard a bad word about.

James wrote this beautiful instrumental “for a beautiful soul. You will be missed, Fay. A tribute to Fay (Nikolopoulos) Michaelides”.
