Saturday afternoon in Dunnellon, Fl, many gathered to remember the life of Steve Ostuni, Class of 1972. Friends and family came together to celebrate Steve’s unique personality and achievements, offering memoirs of his many passions for life, family, friendships, travel, cars, sports, and many other things. A memorial table presented many photographs along with some of Steve’s passions, including sports teams in Tampa, Fl.
Dawn Bradshaw, Class of 1972 spoke at length about their wonderful relationship, cross-country motor home travels of 2020, and numerous other exciting adventures. Marty Pett, Class of 1972 spoke with great enthusiasm about Steve — best friend, not only during those long-ago days at Sayville High School but also while together in college and their regular get-togethers which occurred every year since.
As we bid farewell to Steve, it was clear from the many comments offered, that he would not have wished sorrow to replace wonderful memories.
In the words of the old Hebrew proverb; “Say not in grief he is no more, but live in thankfulness that he was”.
