We are very excited to announce two new volunteers at the Sayville Alumni Association! Roy Fedelem, President of the Sayville Historical Society volunteered to fill a long-time vacancy as our Liaison to the Sayville Historical Society!
Jaimee (Sheridan) Gestewitz, class of 2014 volunteered to be the liaison (point of contact) position for the Class of 2014. We really, really need more people to serve as a point of contact for their class. We have no one for 1991-2013. No one for 2014-present.
Jaimee stated what I have long been feeling; “I assume most people my age just post life updates to social media and don’t think to inform their high school (Alumni Association)”.
There is really little if any work involved. It does not mean organizing reunions of shuffling through piles of correspondence. It does not mean more meetings. Just gather info as it dribbles in and basically forward over to us at SAA so we can update our database, cemeteries, Prayer/thoughts list, birthday remembrance calendars, and so forth.
There are many other class years open, as well. Would YOU be willing to be the POC for your class? Or, can you ask or recommend someone? Thank you very much! Here is our team page;
