Obituary for Mary Rose (Kneuer) Dobbs. Class of 1973.

There are no words to say how much Mary Rose will be missed…

Dobbs – Mary Rose (nee Kneuer), passed away in the comfort of her home in Shirley, NY, on April 2, 2025, at the age of 69.

Beloved daughter to the late Gerard and Theresa Kneuer. Mary was the devoted wife of Thomas, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Matthew and Stephanie (Brian); and grandmother (aka ‘Mana’) to Austin and Madyson.

Mary was also loved by her siblings, Roddy, Tese, Paul, and Beth; as well as many extended family and friends. Mary worked for her family business at All-Ways Travel for over 40 years as a travel agent before she proudly took over as owner. She was also a member of Travel Agents of Suffolk County (T.A.S.C), where she served multiple terms as president. While there, she helped to raise many thousands of dollars for The Ronald McDonald House, an organization near and dear to her heart.

She was truly passionate about her work. Mary loved to travel. From as far away as Egypt to her most favorite place, Jamaica. She also loved to craft, and you would often find her selling her creations at local events.

Most importantly, Mary will be remembered for her selflessness. She was always putting the needs of others before her own without thought.

There are no words to say how much she will be missed. Private Cremation Services will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ronald McDonald house of New Hyde Park in her memory. www.rmhcnym.org
