We are saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Scott “Bob” Miller, a member of the Class of 1967.

Bob was a long-time resident of Sayville, NY. He passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Bob honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning two Bronze Service Stars for his dedication. He was engaged in the construction industry and operated his own business, RSM Construction. In his leisure time, Bob had a passion for working on various types of cars, particularly fast and muscle cars.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bob’s family, friends, and classmates.

Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Homes have been entrusted with the arrangements. Bob was laid to rest yesterday at Calverton National Cemetery.

We are putting forth Bob’s name for inclusion on the Sayville High School Veterans Wall of Honor.

The Sayville Alumni Association will commemorate Bob annually on his birthday. We hope that these remembrances will provide solace to all who knew and cherished him. Thank you to Laura (Whiston) Hanks, Class of 1967, for letting us know about Bob’s passing.
