Published on website of Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Homes West Sayville, New York, is an obituary, as follows;
Jeffrey Knopf, a former Sayville resident, passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 62. He spent most of his life living in Sayville where he grew up and raised his children. Jeff served in the United States Army. He retired from an honorable career with Homeland Security.
Treasured husband of Kelle. Loving father of Kirstin (James Brennan), Justin (Zoe) and Jillian. Adored grandfather, “Pop”, to Leighton and Blake. Son of Mildred and the late Lawrence. Brother of Lar (Nancy) and Stephan (JoAnn). There is nothing Jeff loved more than his family.
His favorite thing to do was spend time with loved ones. He loved boating and being on the water. He cherished his daily walks with his two dogs. Anyone who knew him, knows he was never without a smile on his face. He radiated positivity to all those around him. He was always making people laugh with his infectious chuckle and witty sense of humor.
Jeff’s dream was to retire and move down south with his family. He made that happen last year, becoming a South Carolina resident. Jeff was adored by all, to know him was to love him.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, 245 Main St., West Sayville. Cards to share a memory will be available for you to share your personal stories and thoughts about Jeff.”
