This team, under the fantastic direction of Coach Crawford began the season with three triumphs, yet they fell into a downturn.

Sayville then won five of their last six games, moving them up to third place from last place. Some of Sayville’s defeats were decided in the final minutes of play, and the team from Sayville held the fast Patchogue team to a score of 33-29.

Given that all players, with the exception of Greek and Westerbeke, were rookies at the start of the season, Sayvllle High School deserved a lot of credit![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
