Obituary of Victoria Ann Thierfelder

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victoria Ann Thierfelder, known to many as Vicki, Mom, and to her beloved grandchildren as Bucky. Vicki was called home on November 21st, 2024 at the age of 55 after a brief illness.

Vicki was the cherished wife of John Thierfelder for 33 years. She was a devoted and loving mother to her five children; Emily and her husband Dan, Hannah and her husband John, Johnny and his wife Alexis, Sarah, and William who is engaged to Jennica. Vicki was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and with one more expected.

Vicki’s greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and a doting grandmother. She cherished these roles deeply and dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children. Vicki was always ready to help others in need and approached her professional life as such. After receiving her degree in Human Services, Vicki worked with Catholic Charities for many years and recently found great joy in being part of the Trinity Memorial Episcopal church staff.

Vicki’s love for the beach, especially her happy place in Emerald Isle NC brought her great peace, a place Vicki and her family visited very often. Vicki was known for speaking her mind with honesty and authenticity. Her warmth and presence will be missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held at Saint James Church in Johnson City NY at 10 am on Wednesday November 27th followed by a funeral mass at 11 am.

Vicki will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary staff at the ICU Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City NY for their exceptional and unwavering commitment to providing Vicki and her family comfort in a time of great difficulty.
