Frederick Fisher Hammond was a renowned biographer of composer and virtuoso Girolamo Frescobaldi.
Our SHS grad was also “knighted by the Italian government”, for his extraordinary work on behalf of Italian culture!
Fred passed away earlier this year on March 3, 2023 at age 85. He was born August 7, 1937, in Binghamton, NY, the son of the late Clarence Albert and Sarah (Fisher) Hammond Jr.
