The passing of Joan (Dockweiler) Lund, Class of 1959.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Joan (Dockweiler) Lund, a cherished member of the Class of 1959. Joan departed peacefully on May 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

A funeral service will be held in Palm Bay, Florida, on Friday, with a future memorial service planned in West Sayville (date to be determined). The Lund and Dockweiler families welcome the prayers and support of friends, classmates, and the broader community during this difficult time.

This loss is felt even more profoundly as it comes just seven months after the passing of Joan’s beloved brother, Bill Dockweiler, Class of 1966, who died on October 12, 2024.

The Dockweiler family has endured two tremendous losses in a short span, and we extend our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Joan and Bill.

Details regarding the West Sayville service will be shared as they become available. Please keep the Lund and Dockweiler families in your thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I used to babysit her children, her brother Bill was one of my brothers best friends and our parents were the best of friends. They were all great people. Rest in peace Joan! You were always a beautiful personâ¤ï¸ðŸ˜¢ðŸ™

Sorry the date of her passing should be 5/19/25 not 24. We are saddened to hear of her loss. We were close friends with her brother Bill. RIP with Bill in heaven.

Rest in Peace ðŸ™
