Greetings Sayville Alumni – I, (Chris Horn ’73) am asking for your help
I was saddened to hear that David Jackson recently passed.
Dave and I ran together on the Cross Country, Winter and Spring Track teams in the early 1970’s.
He was one of the best runners in New York and we were teammates when winning the Cross Country State Championship in the fall of 1971.
There can be something about running distance races that forms an appreciation of shared experience.
That is why I’m going to honor Dave by putting together a remembrance to be published here on his birthday February 21, 2024.

Dave is one of Sayville High School’s greatest runners of all time. Would appreciate running stories/comments and yet. There was more than just running and with your help we can honor him with a fitting tribute.
