We express our sorrow and extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends, classmates, son, and devoted wife Ellen, on the loss of Thomas P. Gassert, Class of 1965, who succumbed to cancer.

A memorial service was held on January 27, 2025, at Daytona Memorial Gardens in Daytona Beach, FL.

We will commemorate John annually on his birthday, March 21st. It is our hope that the Sayville Alumni Association’s tribute to John on this day will bring comfort to those who held him dear.
