We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Camilla (Belzak) Guendel.

Mrs. Guendel taught Russian and French. She was beloved by students and colleagues.

Mademoiselle Belzak (as we knew her in the late 1960s and early 1970s) passion for teaching and dedication to her students was evident in every lesson. She made every student feel seen and heard, ignited curiosity, encouraged critical thinking, and fostered a love for learning that endures. Her memory is still a treasure, for some of us even 50+ years later.

Services are entrusted to Robertaccio Funeral Home in Patchogue.

There will be a funeral mass Monday, 02-21-24 at 10 am at Mary Immaculate Church in Bellport.

Her burial will be at Calverton National Cemetery following the church service
